Amplify New Music Series @ Schubas

Each month, En Prise & UR Chicago magazine pair two up and coming acts from across the country with one of the best developing acts from right here at home. A friendly gathering of like-minded artists more so than a competition, the Amplify new music series celebrates artists on the cutting edge and gives concertgoers the chance to see some of the most talked about “buzz” bands (many of whom appear in the pages of UR) in an intimate environment before they break into the main stream. With Amplify new music series veterans Tigercity, The A-Sides, The Postmarks, The Jai Alai Savant, The Silent Years, The Films, and The Strange Boys - to name just a few - well on their way to bursting out of the underground, these events bring more than just music to the masses, they bring the masses to the music and build long lasting relationships with artists. With world famous tastemaker radio station WOXY.com now onboard as a title sponsor, the future looks very bright for Amplify.

Life During Wartime Dance Party

En Prise sponsors the two monthly Life During Wartime residencies here in Chicago. L.D.W. was founded over four years ago by DJs Bald Eagle and Mother Hubbard (also on the En Prise artist roster) and has had a four year long dance party residency at Hideout and a three year long dance party at darkroom.
